The Carbon footprint
(IN GENERAL)
What is our Carbon Footprint? Our carbon footprint is the amount of carbon dioxide and other carbon compounds emitted into the atmosphere based on the consumption of fossil fuels by a specific group of people or person. It is actually just the amount of greenhouse gases emitted but is primarily based on the amount of carbon dioxide released into the atmosphere. A carbon footprint is a broad measurement of the amount or carbon dioxide emitted and is usually measured as tons of carbon dioxide per year. A carbon footprint can be roughly estimated by looking at the size of your household, the efficiency and energy use of your appliances, how much you drive or fly, what you eat, how much you recycle, and how much waste you generate in general. |
